Territori - International Performance Art Festival, Ibiza, Spain

Territori is an international performance art festival based in Ibiza, Spain, founded in 2020 and directed by artist and curator Isa Sanz. Since its inception, the festival has established itself as an important platform for contemporary performance art, distinguished by a strong artistic vision and a commitment to site-specific and context-responsive practices.

The festival explores the relationship between body, place and audience through performances that engage with Ibiza's diverse landscapes and public spaces. Territori has developed a distinctive Mediterranean profile, examining the dialogue between the island's internationally recognised avant-garde reputation and its deeply rooted local culture and identity.

Each September, over a period of seven to ten days, the festival brings together 25-30 artists and participants from the Balearic Islands, Spain and across the world for an extensive programme of performances, workshops, lectures, mentoring sessions, documentary screenings and professional networking activities. Events are presented in a wide variety of locations, ranging from natural environments and public urban spaces to galleries and cultural venues.

Territori also operates the Open Call Balear programme, providing opportunities and grants for artists from the Balearic Islands. The festival is supported by the Consell d'Eivissa (Ibiza Island Council) and the island's municipalities, with free public access to the majority of its programme. Through its sustained commitment to artistic experimentation, international collaboration and public engagement, Territori has become an important meeting point for contemporary performance art in the Mediterranean region.
