Tutors for the iLAS program are the renowned artists and pedagogues Marilyn Arsem (School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston) and Tanya Mars (University of Toronto Scarborough) as well as the art historian and curator Jonas Stampe. It is clearly an opportunity for iLAS and its participants to have two so experienced tutors as Arsem and Mars present at the same time.

This is one of the principal ideas of iLAS to benefit from the natural presence of an artist and pedagogue that is not always doing workshops outside of her or his educational institution. To use the  knowledge and pedagogy of each in the furthering of the field.

However, iLAS is much more than a number of workshops being presented in conjunction with a festival, it is a full study program which takes into account the visual, conceptual and esthetical understanding of the works presented at LA 7. It is the integration of these two parts into the same framework that makes iLAS to an educational innovation in the field.
