Timna is a European performer originally from Austria, with a background in acting and linguistics. She graduated from the University of the Arts London with an MA in Performance: Theatre Making. As a performer, creative facilitator, and researcher, she is driven to question dominant narratives. In her creative research, she embraces a multidisciplinary approach.
Her work, influenced by intersectional feminism, is divided into two areas. In recent years, she has collaborated internationally with artistic collectives such as The People Speak (UK), Les Livreurs (FR), and PlayTogetherNow (AT). These projects primarily focused on community-based work, where she served as a performer and creative facilitator.
The second part of her work centers around practice-based performance research. In this domain, her expertise lies in a creative devising method. She employs a multidisciplinary approach grounded in movement, storytelling, and object work. Some of her recent projects include the VIVAAR project at the Venice Biennale, Making Expansive at the Austrian Cultural Forum London, and her solo performance piece ‘Invisible Targets,’ which will be featured in this year’s VOILÀ European Theatre Festival in London.
