iLAS Program

iLAS Gothenburg, the first in an innovative series of study programs in performance art, will start with a 3 days workshop program (May 21-23) directed by the renowned artists and experienced pedagogues Marilyn Arsem (School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston) and Tanya Mars (University of Toronto Scarborough). The workshops will take place in the morning and the afternoon. iLAS quality conception has led us to limit each workshop group to a number of 8 participants.

After three days of workshops each iLAS participant will be assigned to follow one of the artists at LA 7, as to give direct information on how artists realizes the work. This training will be based on dialogue and take into account all phases of the artists work, from the preparations to the realization of the performance. Of course all participants will also witness the works produced for LA 7.

After the event iLAS continues with two days of lectures and discussions under the direction of  Jonas Stampe, arthistorian, theorician and curator of LA 7.

The total cost for the study program is 1000 SEK or 110 Euros. Which are the fees for the workshops given by Tanya Mars and Marilyn Arsem. iLAS does not take any commission in organising the study program.
